Lynn grew up in the Adirondack foothills but especially loves the sense of "community" in Potsdam and Canton, of which she considers the Co-op to be an integral part. Except for two years living near Syracuse, Lynn has resided in this area since transferring to SUNY Potsdam from a college in Buffalo to finish her degree. She and her housemates were members of the Co-op then, a time when membership and working were required. Her most vivid memory of that time (before The Bagelry opened) was receiving working-owner credit for bringing 13 dozen bagels back from a visit to NYC to eagerly awaiting Co-op member-owners. Lynn has always valued the philosophy of the Co-op as a community-owned grocery store with the practice of buying from local growers and producers. Having owned her own business which provided a marketplace for local artists and artisans, she is especially aware of the importance of keeping locally-owned businesses alive. Lynn says that the most difficult part of her job is walking past the warm scones in the morning with a cup of hot Love Buzz coffee. In her time away from the Co-op she quietly enjoys what this part of the world and its neighbors have to offer.
