Beer is Here!

A few months ago, the Board wrote a letter to membership about the consideration of creating a beer & cider department at the Co-op. There was a lot of support for this, so we got to work procuring our beer license from New York State. While we are still waiting on our official license, we have been granted a temporary permit to begin selling alcoholic beverages. We believe this addition to our store will be a positive one, increasing our overall yearly sales and supporting our local & regional economy at the same time.
Starting Tuesday, January 18th, the Co-op will begin offering craft beer & cider for sale. Our first delivery has arrived and includes a great selection of brews from our very own, New York State:
We are pleased to be able to provide organic and gluten-free options. You can also expect to find non-alcoholic beverages in the near future. Hard Kombucha has been requested and we would love to be able to offer it. However, kombucha requires refrigeration and at this time, we do not have a dedicated beer cooler to store it. We will be sure to post an update when this changes!
PLEASE NOTE: Per NYS law and as part of our store policy, all customers must be at least 21 years old to purchase alcohol and will be expected to present a valid ID, regardless of age. This removes the burden of our staff having to make any judgement calls. Please plan accordingly.
