“I love how the Co-op supports our local producers but have always wished the Co-op did more to make healthy food choices accessible to more people. Being on the board helps me understand how and why the pricing is how it is at the Co-op; and allows me to help work toward change.

I’m excited to be a part of the growing Co-op. Once our sales increase we will be able to get better pricing from our main supplier. We’ll have more storage so we can buy in larger quantities and get better pricing that way. I would love to work on a staples program where we lower margins on basic staples so they are more affordable, and help build other programs to make sure everyone in our community can access the healthy local food we sell at the Co-op.

We are actively searching for people with a background in fundraising, outreach, or law, or someone with experience with real estate and commercial properties to offer expertise on our relocation efforts. However we are, as always, open to anyone who is a supporter of local farms and healthy, affordable food for all.
